Imperial Sugar Company offers medical, dental, prescription, and vision insurance coverage plans to its full time employees and their dependents. The plans allow employees to pay their share of the premium cost with tax-free dollars.
The Company provides for life insurance and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefits that are equal to 2 times the employees’ base annual salary up to a capped amount.
- A Long-Term Disability (LTD) Plan is provided to all employees to provide financial protection in the event of disability.
Determined by the number of calendar months or years an employee has worked for the Company, sick leave benefits are available in the event of illness. Eligible employees earn vacation based on their years of service. An employee begins to earn vacation on his/her first day of employment.
The Company allows an employee to contribute to an FSA account to help defer the cost of deductibles, co-payments, co-insurance on the medical, dental, vision and prescription plans under the Medical Spending Account , in addition to offering a dependent care spending account that helps with an employees child care costs (Dependent Care Spending Account).
You and Imperial can contribute to the 401(k) Plan to help you build a benefit for your retirement. You will be “vested” or have full ownership of these company contributions after you have two years of service. You may also roll over benefits received from similar plans with former employers into your accounts in this plan.
